My Family – Callan is here | Toccoa GA | Newborn Photographer | Family Photographer

Our handsome baby boy was born on February 2nd 2014, just one day shy of me being 41 weeks pregnant. We had planned on having him at home and we couldn’t be any happier with that decision. It was such a better experience than our hospital birth with Madalyn 3 1/2 years ago. It’s not for everyone of course, but we loved the freedom, the calmness and the intimecy that surrounded our labor and his birth. Callan Andrew was born at 11:30am and weighed 8lbs 14oz, was 21 1/2 inches long. He was born with gorgeous skin and a head full of dark hair. He was, and is, so perfect. My girls adore him and just as we had thought, there is zero jealousy among our kids. SO thankful for that. The first set of pictures were taken when he was just two days old. I hadn’t planned on doing them, but I woke up feeling so good and so in love with him I figured we would just take a few. Most photographers will tell you their own kids are their toughest clients. I’ve been pretty lucky with my girls. They love having their picture taken by me and my little Callan was the same way much to my surprise. We only stayed in the studio about 30 minutes and I got PLENTY. I wish all newborn sessions would go as smooth as this went! {a typical newborn session will last anywhere from 2-4 hours…just depends on the baby} The family pictures were taken when he was 6 days old and my amazing sister came to my studio and took them for us. I am SOOO very thankful for her! She did such a great job. She also took pictures for us during our birth and I will always be grateful for all she did for us that day. She is such an amazing person and she is my go to person in life for pretty much anything (:
I hope I haven’t bored everyone with pictures of my own family/kids…but I really am proud of them and I thank God for giving us such a beautiful life! I can’t help but share my happiness with people!
